Paradigm Rhetoric

To sum this up from the beginning, some people’s experiences are banalized and trivialized and creates limitations on worldviews  because knowledge is privileged. NOOOOWWWW I’ll attempt to explain that.

People experience life in real space and time. Limitations exist such that people are limited in their ability to re-experience reality, review reality, or create virtual spaces in media due to technological dispositions and variations. In our society, emphasis is placed on mediated experiences and experiences are determined worthy and unworthy of certain levels of recognition because of their documentation as media. There is nothing that takes away from the real space and time experience, however, spacial and locative limitations confines the number of people that can actually experience an event at a time in a space. Therefore if it is not mediated, the experience is trivialized or banalized not intentionally, but because it is less impactful on people that are not able to visually, auditorily, or tactilely experience an event through this virtual, paradigmatic medium of preservation. These mediated mediums also act as a pause button on time. They allow people to freeze frame their emotions, thoughts, feelings, and actions. This can be done through the use of pictures, posts, comments, likes, follows, and status updates. To those who do not have access to these forms of mediated experiences, we have little to offer. Their experiences are forgotten more frequently. There is no record of it. There is nothing keeping that experience alive, even if virtually. This lack of privilege of of others influences people who do have these privileges’ knowledge of the world, knowledge of experiences, and ultimately our worldview. This is why it becomes important to have a good understand of paradigm rhetoric and how to apply it not only in ways of mediated experience. All thoughts and experiences should be shared by whatever is medium conducive to all people regardless of privileges. Everyone should equally be able to share their experiences regardless of their privileges.
